Celebrate Pride at these events from Portland to Pendleton

Pride events are filling entertainment and community calendars from Portland to Pendleton this month to celebrate LGBTQ + people. Here’s a guide to events within the Portland area, along with a roundup of Pride festivals and events happening throughout the state.

IN PORTLAND

All Ages

Spectrum Art Market: Come feast your eyes while supporting LGBTQ + artists from around the Portland Metro area. 12 pm Friday-Saturday, June 10-11; 4115 N. Mississippi Ave .; free.

OMSI Pride at the Museum: Oregon Museum of Science and Industry invites visitors of all ages for Pride-themed laser light shows, science demos, drag performances, live music and their featured exhibit, “The World of da Vinci.” 6 pm Friday, June 10; 1945 SE Water Ave .; $ 8- $ 12; tickets here.

PRIDE Rooftop Roller Disco: The Rose City Rollers and DJ Sappho host sunset skating on the Rooftop at Lloyd Center. 6:30 pm Friday, June 10; Lloyd Center; $ 10, tickets here. Ages 14+.

SCRAP Pride Extravaganza: SCRAP + Gallery Go Go join forces for this two-day Pride fashion event featuring an open studio, fashion show, and the opportunity to make wearables for Pride week. 1 pm Friday, 4 pm Saturday, June 10-11; 1736 SW Alder St .; $ 10 + donation recommended, no one turned away for lack of funds. History of Black Drag in Portland: Learn from panelists Cicely, Lawanda Jackson, Maria Peters Lake and Sheniqua Volt about Portland’s Black drag history, then watch Coco Jem Holiday, Nay Nay Leakes Cartier and DJ No Bi. Portland Pride Waterfront Festival & Parade: Oregon’s largest Pride celebration returns in-person with a parade and festival for the whole community. Noon-6 pm Saturday, 11:30 am-6 pm Sunday, June 18-19, Tom McCall Waterfront Park, along Southwest Naito Parkway from Ash Street to the Morrison Bridge; admission is by donation, $ 8 suggested; pridenw.org.

Dyke March: Anyone identifying as a lesbian or someone who wants to support them, regardless of gender identity, is invited to gather at the close of Saturday’s festival. 6 pm Saturday, June 18; Tom McCall Waterfront Park; free.

Portland Gay Men’s Chorus Presents Let’s Get Proud: Listen to PGMC ring in the Pride season with an exciting mix of pop tunes old and new. 7:30 pm Saturday, June 18; Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall; $ 19- $ 56, portland5.com. Pride Pics: Two evenings of food, fun, and films centering and celebrating the LGBTQ + community. Portland Pride Paddle: Grab your boards, boats, and all the rainbow you can and head to the river for the Pride Paddle on the Waterfront. 11 am Saturday, June 25; Willamette Park; donations recommended.

Let’s Pride Together Block Party! Celebrate the launch of “It’s Rainin’Love,” an augmented reality mural that celebrates LGBTQ + history, with a flash mob, drag performances, vendors and more. 12 pm Saturday, June 25; NW Couch St .; free.

Astoria

Astoria Pride hosts Pride Parade on the Riverwalk, plus trivia, brunch and tons of performances continuing at various times Thursday-Sunday, June 9-12. Third Street and Marine; free.

Yachats

Hillsboro
