As the Easter Bunny prepares for a long hop around the country, Lake County is ready for the holiday with an array of festive events and activities for the whole family to enjoy! Easter egg hunts, Brunches and Sunday Services are being held all over the County , and the Easter Bunny will be visiting a different business every Saturday until Easter Sunday.
With help from the Lakeport Main Street Association the Easter Bunny will be visiting Lakeport on Saturday at Studio 127 from 1 to 3 pm located at 127 N. Main Street. There will be free fairy tea and cookies, crafts, and professional photography by Forsman Photography The next appearance will be April 9 at Fixin’it Up with Sandra from 1 to 3 pm located at 270 N. Main Street. There will be easter eggs for the kids and champagne for the parents as well as a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Lastly, the Easter Bunny can be found April 16 at The Kitchen Store and More from 1 to 3 pm located at 568 Lakeport Blvd. This is the last chance to get your photos with the Easter Bunny and you can grab some last minute sweets before the big day.
Easter egg hunts are a long time tradition and this year there are many to choose from. Thorn Hill Vineyards in Lower Lake is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on April 17 from 12 to 5 pm located at 8170 South Highway 29. Reservations are required for this event and more information can be found on their website or Facebook page. There will also be an Easter Breakfast followed by an Easter egg hunt at the Community Baptist Church beginning at 9:30 am at 2877 E Hwy 20 in Nice.
Easter egg hunts aren’t just for kids anymore and on Saturday April 16 you can bring your furry friends to Send Rover on Over at 2945 Reeves Lane from 10 am to 2 pm This annual event is exclusively for dogs to come sniff out their own eggs , each dog getting their own 10 minute time slot to find three eggs filled with treats and the cost is 10 dollars per dog, with reservations being required.
Brunch is the iconic meal of Easter Sunday and is being offered at a few restaurants, one being the Greenview Restaurant in Middletown. Brunch will be served Buffett style from 9 am to 2 pm and will include eggs Benedict, hand carved turkey and ham, an omelette station, and over a dozen other items. The Saw Shop Public House in Kelseyville will also be hosting their weekly Sunday Brunch beginning at 10 am
Sunday services are being held at numerous places of worship with varying times on the holiday. Worship service begins at 10:45 am at the Community Baptist Church in Nice. In Middletown at the Jesus Christ Fellowship located at 19650 Hwy 175 services will begin at 9 30:30 am In Lakeport at St. Johns Episcopal Church located at 1190 N. Clear Lake will also house some holiday fun with the California Open at Clearlake from April 13 to 15. There will also be the Annual Bassin Bassmasters fishing tournament on Saturday April 16 and more information for those tournaments can be found on the California Fish and Wildlife website ..
