Pack a swim bag, grab the family and have a day splashing about in the cooling waters of these fun pools and splash pads around Wales.

Lido Ponty –National Lido of Wales
It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for, The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, has announced that it will re-open for its main 2022 season on April 9 ..
You’ll find three pools at this lush lido; there’s the main pool, an activity pool and a splash pool that all offer brilliant swimming opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
Pool tickets can be booked online up to seven days in advance and for just £ 2.50, visitors can also enjoy everything from fun inflatables to Aqua Scooterz, Aqua Peddlerz and the Water Walker.

Aqua Park Cardiff
Opening on June 23 This inflatable Aqua Park offers a unique, open water experience with a variety of fun obstacles, with lush bay views, Aqua Park is back and better than ever. Slip, slide and splash with the whole family at the exhilarating aqua activity in Cardiff Bay. to boot.
Have a joyous time climbing walls, bouncing on trampolines, slipping down slides and tackling the monkey bars as you make your way around this entertaining water park. The park takes bookings for adults, groups and families with children aged eight years and over.
Hour longs slots can be booked online from April 15 and you can also buy a season pass for a whole summer of splashy fun.

Opening for the 2022 season on April 9 It’s a free to use facility that the kids will just love on those hot summer days. The pad adds to the existing attractions that Aberdare Park already has, including a play area, boating lake and café.
It has a number of aquatic play features, including tall sprays –Trilly Lilly, Wavy Wand, Spin Splasher, Sneaky Soakers, ground sprays –Misty Mountain, Solo Spurt and Soft Tulip.
The Pad will be open from 10.00am to 6.00pm in 2022 and there’s also a unisex toilet available on site.

Victoria Park Splashpad Cardiff
The Victoria Park splash pad is set to open in late spring in 2022 (although an actual date is yet to be announced), so get ready for splashing fun with the kid. This popular splash pad is located in the Cardiff suburb is great for children of all ages.
It’s set up with 33 fun features including water sprays and jets, a tipping water bucket and a tunnel –perfect for little adventures.
This historic park also has a children’s playground, games area and loads of space for little ones to run around at this Grade II-listed location.

SC2 Splash Pad Rhyl
The amazing SC2 water park offers both indoor and outdoor water play for all ages and abilities. With breath-taking flume rides, beach style paddling slides for all ages and themed cafes, there really is something for everybody.
SC2’s Outdoor Splash Pad is designed to let visitors make the most of the sunshine. Centerd around a paddling pool, the water is 30cm at its deepest and ideal for younger children, toddlers and infants.
The outdoor splash pad area is full of fun splash features for the kids and operates seasonally. It will be back open this year at the end of May for the 2022 season.
Blackpill Lido, Swansea
Another one that’s great for the warmer months of the year, this outdoor pool in Swansea has picnic facilities and a children’s play area. It’s opening for the 2022 season on April 30 ..
Swansea’s outdoor waterpark, Blackpill Lido, is owned by the council and free of charge for public use. It has a paddling pool, children’s play area, climbing rock and picnic facilities. There are tall fountains for children to enjoy dodging as the water spills from a height.
The lido has its own picnic areas but is also surrounded by cafes for refreshments. It is scalable next to the Swansea promenade so you can even have a dip in the sea after going on the splash pad.
