Where to find Easter 2022 egg hunts, bunny visits and more in central Pa.

Believe it or not, Easter is only a few weeks away.

And, as the holiday approaches, various communities in the central Pennsylvania region are gearing up to host the usual assortment of egg hunts, and other Easter-related events for families and children.

Below is a list, organized by county, of some of the Easter-themed activities coming up on the calendar. Did we miss one? Let us know by sending an email to newstips@pennlive.com.

Cumberland County

Ashcombe Farm and Greenhouse, 906 W. Grantham Road, Mechanicsburg, will hold two Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 and 11:30. Am April 16. The hunt will include special eggs with prize tickets inside. The event is free but online preregistration is required.

Meadowbrooke Gourds Farm, 125 Potato Road, Carlisle, will hold its annual Egg Hunt at 11 am, 12:30 pm and 2 pm April 23. Each hunt will last one hour and be limited to 400 people. Cost is $ 5, which goes toward the Upper Frankford Fire Company. Canned and nonperishable food items will also be collected. A Spring Festival will also be held on the same day from 11 am to 4 pm The rain date is April 30.

The New Cumberland Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 am April 16 at New Cumberland Borough Park, Front Street, New Cumberland. Hunts will be divided according to age groups. There will be food, games, raffles, and prizes.

Middlesex Township Will hold an Egg Hunt at 10 am April 9 at the Township Park, 50 Beagle Club Road. Children ages 1-10 are invited to search for treat-filled eggs. A few prize eggs will be scattered in the mix.

The Plainfield Lion’s Club will hold a free Easter Egg Hunt at 11 am April 9 at West Pennsboro Township Park, 30 Park Road. Special prizes will be available.

Dauphin County

Whitaker Center’s Bunny Trail event will run 9:30 to 11:30 am April 9 at 222 Market St., Harrisburg. This event includes springtime-themed craft stations, photos with the Easter Bunny, candy, and more. Tickets are $ 5 per person (children ages 2) And younger are free). The ticket is for admission to the Bunny Trail only, it does not include Harsco Science Center admission. The science exhibits will not be open for exploration during this event. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Each person over the age of 2 that attends the Easter-themed event will receive a cinema voucher that can be used to view any documentary film free of charge through Dec. 31.

An Easter Egg Stravaganza Hop Along will be held from 11 am to 1 pm April 9 at Brightbill Park in Lower Paxton Township for ages 2-10. The event is free but you must register in advance. Info: parks@lowerpaxton-pa.gov

An Easter Extravaganza will be held from noon to 3 pm April 16 at the Camp Curtin YMCA, 2135 N. Sixth St., Harrisburg. The event will include Basket Giveaway, a Free Throw Competition, Music, Games and Food. Info: 717-602-2936 ..

A Community Easter Egg Hunt Will be held at 10 am April 9 at 8848 Jonestown Road, Grantville. Bring your own basket. There will be games, flower planting and pictures with the Easter Bunny. Light refreshments will also be provided. Participants should register by April 4 and bring a nonperishable food item or personal care item for the Grantville Food Pantry.

The Vineyard at Hershey,, 598 Schoolhouse Road, Middletown, will host Adult Egg Hunts from noon to 4:30 pm April 2, 3, 9, 10, and 16. Each guest will receive a gift bag that includes candy, a bottle of wine, and a VIP wine or beer tour for two people. Tickets are $ 40 and must be purchased in advance.

The Lower Swatara Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held for children 12 and under at 10 am April 15 at 2 Theodore Ave., Middletown. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet people and hand out gifts.

An Indoor Easter Scavenger Hunt, For kids 12 and under, will be held daily through the month of April at the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey. Find Easter decals amid the museum’s exhibits and earn treats. Info: 717-566-7100.

Photos with the Easter Bunny runs April 2-3 and 8-17 at Hershey’s Chocolate World, 101 Chocolate World Way, Hershey. Times are 11 am to 5 pm Mondays through Thursdays, 11 am to 4 pm April 8, 11 am to 6 pm April 16 and 10 am to 6 pm Saturdays and Sundays. Info: 717-534-4900.

Lancaster County

Bunny Village and Egg Hunts will be offered from 10 am to 4 pm April 9-10 and 15-16 at Country Barn, 211 S. Donerville Road, Lancaster. Tickets are $ 8.50 per person and include egg hunts, a visit from the Easter Bunny, baby farm animals, a hedge maze and more. There is also a breakfast with the Easter Bunny event. Seating Times are 9, 9:45 and 10:30 am Tickets for the breakfast are $ 20 per adult. Access to the Bunny Village is included in the breakfast cost.

Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue60 Vera Cruz Road, Reinholds, will hold an Easter egg hunt for dogs at 11 am April 2. The Easter Bunny will be on hand and there will also be raffles and food. All dogs must be on a leash 6 feet or shorter. Cost is $ 5 per dog.

Splish, Splash Easter Egg Bash is a pool-based egg hunt that will be held from 1-3 pm April 9 at Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA, 800 Village Road, Lancaster. Bring your own basket. Children under age 5 and non-swimmers need to have a parent in the water with them. Cost is $ 5 for nonmembers.

Manheim Township There will be games, crafts, free popcorn and the chance to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Participants are encouraged to bring their own basket. ..

Kiwanis Egg-Stravaganza Egg Hunt will be held from 10 to 11:30 am at South Mountain YMCA, 201 Cushion Peak Road, Reinholds. The event will also include spring crafts, balloon animals and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Kids can wear their silliest “Easter Bonnet” for a chance to win a prize.

Terre Hill Park, 210 Lancaster Ave., Terre Hill, will hold a Community Egg Hunt and a Flashlight Egg Hunt at 1 and 7 pm, respectively. The community hunt, for ages 10 and under, will feature face painting, a juggling show and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Cost for the flashlight event, which is for ages 11 and up, is $ 20 in advance, or $ 25 in person. Bring your own flashlight. Info: 717-445-4581.

Woodridge Swim Club,, 50 W. Seventh St., Lititz, will hold a Community Easter Egg Hunt at 1 pm April 16 for ages 12 and under. There will be door prizes and a separate area for toddlers.

An Eggstravaganza egg hunt will be held at 10 am April 9 at Elizabethtown Community Park 201 S. Mount Joy St., Elizabethtown. Inflatables, games, food trucks and the Easter Bunny will be on hand. An adult and senior egg hunt will also be held. Cost for that event is $ 5.

Easter Bunny Train Will be held at various times, April 15-17 at Strasburg Railroad, 301 Gap Road, Ronks. Take a train ride through Lancaster County farmland with the Easter Bunny as your conductor. Perry County

A Down on the Farm Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 am April 16 at Butcher’s Farm Market, 590 N. Fourth Str., Newport. More than 4,000 eggs will be spread out over four acres, with a smaller area set aside for younger children. There will also be additional activities an hour before and after the hunt.

York County

Balla Cloiche Vineyards will hold an Adult Easter Egg Hunt from 1-5 pm April 9 at 14110 Clark Road, Stewartstown. Kimmy’s BBQ and Sugar Mama’s Cupcakes will be on hand serving food. Admission is free with a drink purchase. No pets or children allowed.

Brookside Park’s Bunny Fest Will be held from 1-5 pm April 16 at 4054 Fox Run Road, Dover. There will be a petting zoo, face painting, caricatures, balloon animals, food trucks, Easter Bunny photos, and staggered egg hunts. Bring your own basket. Pre-registration is required. An adult flashlight egg hunt will be held at the park at 8:30 pm April 15.

Flinchbaugh’s Orchard will hold an Easter Apple Hunt from 10 am to 3 pm on April 16 at 110 Ducktown Road, Hellam Twp. Activities include apple hunts, visits with the Easter Bunny, magic shows, wagon rides, face painting and more. Timed hunts will start at Tickets are $ 7.99 for children plus a handling fee.

M & M Builders Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 2-4 pm April 16 at Manheim Adventure Park, 4565 Camp Woods Road, Glenville. There will be 4 different ages groups for the egg hunts, drawings to win bicycles for the two oldest age groups and Easter baskets for the younger age groups. Food trucks will be on hand as well. McCurdy’s Tree Farm will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 am April 16 at 127 Chestnut Grove Rd, Dillsburg. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos.

The Curious Little Playhouse, 41 W Market St, York, will host an Easter Party from 9-11 am April 16. Participants will get a free sand bucket and can decorate an egg to take home. There will also be an egg hunt and photos with Oliver Rabbit. Cost is $ 20 per child with one free adult. Additional adults are $ 10.

Splish, Splash Easter Egg Bash, a pool-oriented egg hunt, is a pool-based egg hunt that will be held from 1-3 pm April 9 at Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA, 800 Village Road, Lancaster.
